Germany follows the EU's harmonised pet import regulations. As an EU member state, the requirements are identical to France, Italy, Spain and other EU countries. Australia is classified as an unlisted third country, meaning the full titre test process applies.
- ISO 15-digit microchip — before any vaccination
- Rabies vaccination — primary, documented with microchip number
- RNATT titre test — 30+ days after vaccination, ≥0.5 IU/ml required
- 21-day wait after titre result confirmation
- EU-format health certificate endorsed by DAFF
- Arrival at approved EU Border Inspection Post
